PA Regional Nanotechnology Conference
The Drexel Nanotechnology Institute (DNI), Lehigh Nanotech Network (LNN), and the NTI are developing a joint conference on collaborating in today’s economy.
This conference is geared towards industry and centers on industry interactions and needs. The sponsoring organizations and other participants will present their capabilities and resources. Key topics include: how nanotechnology can affect your business; where to find helpful resources; funding opportunities and collaborative options; best practices on how businesses view and implement nanotechnology; and Pennsylvania’s programs for supporting business and workforce development.
Tours of DNI research facilities will also be offered. This event is open to all involved in business and technology management, research, collaboration, technology commercialization, and economic development in and around Pennsylvania.

Why Is Small So Big?
Nanotechnology deals with products and processes that are measured in almost unbelievably small increments called “nanometers”—one billionth of a meter.
At the nanoscale, materials differ from larger objects in their physical, chemical and biological properties; therefore, they lend themselves to new and improved materials, systems and devices. Nanotechnology is behind the development of such diverse advancements as:
- Drug Delivery
- Biofiltration and Separation sciences
- Improved coatings for medical devices
Thanks to rapid advances in this exciting new field, we now have the tools and talents to manipulate materials on the molecular scale—a technology literally changing the world as we know it.
